Website Updates - An Unplanned Site Rebuild

Well, getting into AI with other sites comes with some bad parts. If you go off and use a bad AI system to help learn and build new kinds of sites, they can find a way to get into your server. In my case, I wanted to try to get away from Cursor and tried out a company almost the same that ChatGPT said was better for what I was trying to do.

The bad thing is, I let it get into my Terminal on my PC. I did not know it could get into my server from my Windows Terminal. Well, it did. I was talking to it about taking Tandy Services AI off the server. If you know anything about AI, it jumps at a chance to do something it knows nothing about.

It went through my Terminal and into my server. How, I do not know. But then it deleted everything Tandy Services off the server. Tandy Services was the main account, so it wiped out my main account and left me without any way to get back onto the server. I even talked to the host at InterServer—my host—and that AI took everything, including my cPanel account. I lost everything on the server, Boat Transporters included.

So, I was already thinking about rebuilding Boat Transporters. I guess that AI figured I should do it now. When I started, I found out someone had taken over the Boat Transporters URL, so I asked ChatGPT to help come up with another great name for the site. That is how we came up with the new name, Boat Transport Ops. It fits right in with the rest of the planned domains that are in the works.

My plan is to have Boat Transport Ops fully built and working. The main change on the site will be that it is not locked to one company anymore. They did not want to use it, so I will open it up and make it more company-friendly. Their loss is all I can say. But doing that will take time.

I have been building this site for over 10 years. That is 10-year-old code in some places. Every line of code has to be gone over. I would say at this time I am about one-quarter of the way ready to let companies join.

I can say this: the company I made this site for will be sorry it did not use the site. I will be adding a good bit more as I learn all about AI and what I can have it do. Later, I will be adding AI to the site. It will be Tandy Services AI, which will be run off Tandy Services—not any of those well-known AIs that really know nothing about what us oversize drivers actually do.

The Tandy Services AI will be trained to learn everything about the site, as well as oversize and heavy-haul loads. It will most likely take another 10 years, but you know it will be fun doing it as time goes on.

Where Things Stand Now
Boat Transport Ops is actively being rebuilt as a multi-company platform designed for real-world boat transport operations. Core systems are in place, legacy code is being audited line by line, and new features are being added with scalability in mind.

Company onboarding will open once the foundation is complete. Until then, development updates will continue as progress is made.
